Lineage II Enchant Rate Calculations

- It's just a theory by me.
- It's only calculation with the rates.
- Some ppl say, 2/3 mean 65% success and 35% failure, not 66,6...% and 33,3...%.

Retail enchant rate (for weapons): 2/3 chance
In some private servers: 60%

This table is for ONE weapon. If you have 2 weapons the success rates are double.

+1 -- 100% --- 100%
+2 -- 100% --- 100%
+3 -- 100% --- 100%
+4 -- 66% --- 60%
+5 -- 43% --- 36%
+6 -- 29% --- 21%
+7 -- 19% --- 12,6%
+8 -- 12% --- 7,56%
+9 -- 8% --- 4,54%
+10 -- 5% --- 2.72%
+11 -- 3,6% --- 1,63%
+12 -- 2,3% --- 0,97%
+13 -- 1,51% --- 0,58%
+14 -- 1,00% --- 0,35%
+15 -- 0,66% --- 0,21%
+16 -- 0,45% --- 0,13%


This mean: if you want a +16 weapon (with 2/3 success rate), you need ~220 weapons for ~100% success.

"Almost all weapons and armor can be safely enchanted to +3, but beyond that, success is based on a pre-defined rate of probability. One-piece type armor can be safely enchanted up to +4."

haha they remowed the 2/3 chance of success sentence.. what duchebags. The sentence has been replaced with "pre-defined rate of probability". So i'm guessing going 15~16 is not 66% anymore and that is soo C4.

Ye, they removed from the site! But L2 final client still says 2/3 succes.

using ~220 weapons does not give you 100% certainty of making a +16, it only gives you a theoretical good chance, randomization does not keep track of history.

my statement is 65% success for every enchant...i think that the chances are not lower for every enchant..

This is why i wrote the ~ character... I didnt say its 100%, i said: ~100%.

Most agents can be manufactured at any location in WOW.

You dont need a magic orb to calculate enchant success rates.....its basic stochastics.

For every single enchant you have 2/3 chance. If you look at the complete row, for example enchanting the weapon from +3 to +6 the success rate is much lower.

+3 to +4 = 2/3 = 0,6666666666666~
+3 to +5 = (2/3) * (2/3) = 45%
+3 to +6 = (2/3) * (2/3) * (2/3) = ~ 30%
+3 to +7 = (2/3) * (2/3) * (2/3) * (2/3) = ~ 20% etc etc etc

Hello ppl, as you see im new here, and ive a question, probably a commun question.. is there any way to enchant safelly in l2 hellbounD? well im asking cose, in myserver, server juststarted at 3 weeks, 25x rate (so low i sopuse) and there is alot of ppl with + 10 homu and also with + 10 a grade weapons, when i and my friends even can enchant to + 4... so i think that there's some bug... if yes, can any of you pls help me? i would be very thx to all of you :( bye and regards, ztar
