As C9 lost to FNC and failed to advance to semi-final, GMB was also defeated by NJS. We all admire the capacity of NJS, and are eager to watch the possible duel between the two Korean teams in matches afterwards - what on earth is the ability of Korean teams? What’s their ace? We will get the answer in the semi-final.
Both sides had prepared a lot before the battle between GMB and NJS. GMB always targeted Jax on its ban list since Korean players had a well understanding over the champion and he also had nice carry ability. As for NJS, it wouldn’t let Zed appear on the battlefield.
NJS made many mistakes in the first game – position and spell mistakes, thus GMB snowed. In the end, GMB ended the game by taking baron and destroying the base of NJS in 42nd minute. NJS’s jungler Watch succeeded in taking a baron from Diamond in the game, and it’s the second time that Diamond lost to Korean player after SSO’s jungler.
Genja’s Varus performed well in the game – he slew NJS’s Twitch by Q several times and gained bigger advantage for allied side and didn’t give the opponent any chance to counter.
NJS was forced to fight in the second game, but it still leaked little information on tactic on line-up – top solo Renekton, the jungler Elise, mid lane Ahri, Twitch + Thresh on bottom lane. All other champions were common on S3 World Championship except ADC. But GAB didn’t choose to switch line actively to guarantee the development of allied ADC after getting Thresh. GMB’s disadvantages on bottom lane became the major cause that GMB lost to NJS from this game. And the powerful bottom lane of NJS always opened up the situation for it thus it could reverse the situation.
NJS’s Renekton developed well since GMB didn’t switch the line actively and GMB had to face the powerless as its three lines had all been suppressed badly. NJS’s Renekton were able to distract at least three members of GMB. As a result, Ahri and Twitch output well and NJS won the game with a big score – 21:4.
