New Last Chaos

Good evening! I am looking to create and work on my own last chaos private server. I am currently getting a degree in computer science and video game development (just started) so I thought that a game i know very well would be a great idea.

I would need (in english)

ALOT of people are using CentOS 6.7/6.8 on older tutorials/forums but that no longer is working do yall have something else???

Step by step instructions on how to even set up the new last chaos.

What editor is best for adding in new maps, new skins, mounts, quests etc. while keeping old things.

I would also like to know what editor is best in editing other things like merac maps, dratan, dungeons,NPCs etc that fell off.

I have never done this before and have countless hours to spend learning it! Most of the forums I'm finding/links are old, outdated, don't work anymore, or are not in english.

I do not expect this server to do amazing as it is my first time so i understand but I am just looking for the best way to start.

I would also love a list of ALREADY created bosses/skins/items and how to add them into my game(as long as the creator is okay with me using them i do not mind paying for any later either but I would like to know how to do it myself for now).

How to set shop items to be certain things with certain pricing

How to have characters accumulate afk cash time/how to set it. ETC.

I have a lot of ideas but I need to know how to even set up the server first before editing/adding new things in lol.

Also best way to avoid hacks since i know its an older system.

he can do pretty much anything he wants with my LC DevPack & LCDBExport, the map stuff is with the world editor.

my last build was on centos 7, this worked fine.

I have no idea what I'm doing and like OP I'm trying to work on my own project. I tried using a 7 year old youtube video by EXORY and can't quite figure out how to make things work with centos7 on vmware ws player.

All I ask for (currently) is help just getting the gameserver running, if there's somewhere you could point me with the info I need I'd appreciate the help. Otherwise I'll just keep on trying I guess.

You should use the public tools which are available, as Damona mentioned, you can use his DevPack to create content for the game.

Editing Maps is done with the SeriousEditor, it can be found somewhere else but not here.

The thing with the old CentOs-Versions is quite simple, the Server uses old C++ versions and old libraries, if you try to use newer versions you will have to make minor changes to the code, but at this point you probably don't know enough to do it, so just use the recommended CentOs versions or a Windows Server.
