I have decided to make a review about the fitness / sports watch Polar Ignite.
As someone who works out often, without a schedule or any plans I decided to purchase something which would help me, by having pre-build workouts in the watch itself.
Package:
The delivery time of my package was quite fast. The package was high quality which, which I also realized since I am someone who unpacks quite roughly because I’m very impatient and the material was very hard to tear or bend. On the picture below you see the package (excluding a bigger box where it was shipped in)

Features:
The Polar Ignite may be a sports watch, it has a lot of different features. First of all it is a touch screen watch, with depending of choice permanent screen on or not. One of my favourite features: Nightly Recharge. This feature tracks my sleep, it will check when you fall asleep, how you sleep and will recommend after a couple days tracking what type or when you should workout.

A short overview of some of the features of the Polar Ignite:
I do personally not use all of the features. However the GPS works really well as I see on my Strava. The traveled kilometers and steps seem to be accurate as well in different functions such as running and cycling. You can simply pick the sport type you will do and it will track many things as calories burnt, time spent, heart rate, ... and more.
Polar Flow
What is also a feature of Polar is that you can online acces your statistics. Personally I love it. It gives a bright look at how you performed, tells you when and how long you were in a too high heart rate and you may even edit or add some sport schedules.

Compatibility
It works with iOS and Android. Therefor it also comes with an App to track your stastics easy and quick as well as in the web version of Polar Flow (which is more detailed though). You can sync the Watch by just pressing one button on the Watch itself. The App is user friendly, but in my opinion it could be more clear. The sleeping statistics are very easy to understand, however the workout statistics not. There they could improve some things.
Battery
They claim you can do 5 days without charging the device. This depends though on how much you use it, the workout functions, GPS and keep the screen on or not. Personally I need to charge after 3-4 days, even when I only workout for an hour or two using it. Thats a con in my opinion.
Conclusion
In my opinion, the watch has great features but the battery life is a bit of a big con. Most of the used features are pretty accurate (even the sleeping one) and it's great after a few hours of studying that it reminds me to go for a walk. Besides that, the price tag of € 154,95 is reasonable for a watch with these features, especially looking to different products. The only con is that you need to charge depending on your activity every three to four days.
I'm happy I bought it! Enjoy your summer, with a lot of tracking in the future perhaps
