Those old chips are not soldered, they're socketed.
An upgrade can still be prevented by your bios or motherboard power delivery not supporting or being incapable of handling this chip.
A CPU swap is not recommended on any kind of mobile device.
Also do not open, recommend or purchase an Acer device throughout your life (assuming you have one), as they are a pain to open.
If you want more performance, get your hand on a used device, preferably a business grade one, if you can find one, e.g. on ebay or at a local shop.
If you had a lot of money, you could also go for a new device, but business grade devices aren't cheap, yet those are the only reliable laptops in my opinion.
In the end, it is up for you to try, but if I was you, even if I had a replacement CPU, I wouldn't expect much of a performance increase on that socket.
