There is a post some odd pages in here somewhere that explains it, not very difficult really if you want to do it the CE way.

Just scan 0 4 byte not around an npc, walk up to a shop npc ( like the one near the bank in HoTM ) an scan for 63 after. You should only get 1 address ( make sure fast scan is off in CE ). The banker would be 62, loot is 64, some other interactive npc's have different 4 byte values.

Another way would be through agentID but probally not something you would be interested in learning how to get and more so is just something I or maybe buffy use to slap into a quick-scan program ( I do atleast ) to find them without needing CE and just using arrays.

well i am always up to learning new stuff, if you know of any good sources to learn about agentID, or other stuff pm them if ya want. I might take to making my own trainer just to see what its like.

There is alot in the old posts of this section that would explain some of the parts of agentID and how to get it, utilize it & not just in memory. You would just need to take the time for that. Think only thing not in here, would be how to get the base and add it into a trainer but I'm sure google could produce something as an explanation for that.

Could you explain why turning off fast scan is required for this?

Because sometimes often CE will skip over certain addresses using fast scan.

So it is generally a bad idea to have it enabled?

No, I don't cause I never looked into it in ages, but you can ask dark byte if you prefer on CE's forums, he always responds to any questions.
