GC for window 7? elp.. T_T

♥-..~because when my friend clicked start game, he said the white screen appeared and then loaded.. but after that, his GC client exited automatically..

In windows 7 you need more than 1GB of RAM to run GC


When playing GCPH when the main.exe starts don't click the GC when it's loading and when your RAM is full windows 7 will automatically whitens the program. in other words the GCPH.. so don't click it or do anything. wait for the GC to starts.

i already sent her a link...just hope it covers the problem. far as i know, windows 7 is just a stripped-down version of vista. so whatever problems/solutions encountered in vista also applies to windows 7.

Far from it dear, Windows 7 is an enhanced combination of XP's speed and Vista's interface and security. It is true though that applications that can be run with Vista can also run in 7.

There is also a "run in compatibility mode with previous versions of Windows"

> Right click your GC icon/shortcut.
> Select 'Properties' - a pop-up window will open.
> Select the 'Compatibility' button on the uppermost part of the window.
> Click the checkbox beside the words "Run in compatibility mode for:" and select a previous version of Windows.

I use Windows 7 professional and don't have to use the 'compatibility' option though. So it might be that your RAM or video card can't support GC + Windows 7. Hope I helped.

omg ur waaaaaaaaaaaay too far. if u check the kernel, it isnt a windows xp kernel--its vista. u believe too much in ads. another way to check: will an xp driver work in windows 7? or will a vista driver work better?

o.O I just installed Win7 Ultimate last night. GC was working fine. Did you use the Windows 7 Update Advisory before switching to Win7?
