yes it is, so far its the only way. im actually 40% done with the independent unlocker/kd feature..

i have no chance to face this kind of project, coz i'm very busy. but i would like to share my idea., using VB6 and batch command, you can force delete read only files, or files being used by another person or program. with this you can delete ai.kom or any kom files you want (I hope so) by force. if this works you will not be needing unlocker to unlock ai and replace it. you can delete it then replace it and so on.. good luck..

I could help with AI codes.. been mixing them up lately

..and about the unlocker stuff in vb6:
ideas (already tried, some part fails)>>
1.put it in resources
2.unload in a default directory "C:\Progra~1\Unlocker\"
3.ask vb6 to call it with additional parameters >> in cmd prompt: ("C:\Progra~1\Unlocker\unlocker.exe" <GCpath>\<KOMfile> -s)
or thru shortcut ("C:\Progra~1\Unlocker\unlocker.exe" "<GCpath>\<KOMfile>")
-#3 will serve as auto unlock...I failed coding on that part though.

yup this is me. lil kaze got banned because of multi-account as for me i got an undying infraction ;P

maybe unlocker is not able to do its job via calling it by parameters or maybe you gave it the wrong parameters, coz i think the directory is not enough, how about the "kill","unlock","rename" functions? i think its needed before it can be called via parameters. but im not going for unlocker's functions, im going to use API's. making my program an 'unlocker' itself. pretty hard since gc handles are invisible in win xp

calling unlocker from VB6 works, but my sample program generates an error 53 or sumthing (even with error trapping--u need error handling routine to know if handle has been unlocked).

btw, pm me y u would need file creation.

thanks sir but it bothers me, how would unlocker be able to know if you want the program to be killed, unlocked or renamed?

I have a suggestion regarding the unlocker part. I've been using a different process killer for a while and it seems to be working well on all platforms (Well, I haven't had any problems with it so far.)

VM or PM if you guys are interested. I was kinda planning on releasing the tut about it too but I kinda changed my mind 'cause I don't want it to get too public.

@sOulimperfect, Yes. I'm using .NET framework and I also think we need a function of DLL injection just like unlocker did.
I think it attaches the DLL file named "unlockerhook.dll" to all the processes that runs so they could unlock it.

^yes i just noticed it just now. unlocker does dll injection. it still bothers me why unlocker won't close the handle of ai.kom...the only thing i can think of why it can't do its job well is that because main.exe is an invisible process. @_@
