Final Fantasy XIV Open Beta Begins August 31st
Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) fans may get their chance to sample the game sooner than expected as the open beta that was announced for early September is ready earlier than expected. According to the FFXIV Twitter page, the open beta will begin for the game on August 31, 2010 at 19:00 (PDT).

Along with the postponement of FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, the issuing of registration code for FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test will be postponed as well. With the download of client software's installer, it will be suspended at 19:00 (PDT) on Aug. 31, 2010.

Open Beta already started. Game goes live for pre-order-ers Sept 22 and everyone else (PC Only) Sept 30.

Square Enix gab auf dem offiziellen FFXIV Twitter Feed bekannt das die 3. Closed Beta Phase von Final Fantasy XIV am 25. August enden wird, im Anschluss wird Anfang September dann die Open Beta Phase starten.
Natürlich muss man dazu erwähnen, das es einen kompletten Char Wipe nach Ende der CB gibt, somit bleibt die Chancengleichheit bestehen zu den neuen Testern.

Mortal Online Open Beta Begins Feb. 1!

StarVault AB has announced today that Mortal Online will be entering Open Beta on February 1st. The announcement is a bit confusing as it claims the game is now "beginning Release," but will instead be entering an Open Beta phase until the game hits "Gold status," in which case Mortal Online will be fully released and monthly subscriptions will begin.
The developers consider the game feature-complete at this point, and intend to announce discounts for the Digital Download version of the game...

There's something to shout about if you're looking forward to Final Fantasy XIV - the game is now accepting applicants for its beta testing. We've heard that the game is slated for release some time next year, but this is one of the obvious indicators that it's closer than we might have thought.
