Call of Duty not living up to the hype anymore?

Maybe Call of Duty isn't going to live up to what it is any more? Infinite Warfare, the new reveal for this years Call of Duty is getting plenty of attention. But probably for all the wrong reasons. The trailer, which came out on the 2nd of this month is now hitting 1.8 million dislikes. Making it the most disliked gaming video of all time on YouTube, and the 4th most disliked video of all time.

Gamers are pretty passionate, that's for sure. But how did Activision respond to this? CEO, Eric Hirshberg said. "We've seen this in the franchise before. The reveal trailer for Black Ops II, which took the franchise into the future for the first time, had the most dislikes of any reveal trailer we had ever made at that time. And that, of course, went on to become our most successful game ever."

Well, he isn't wrong. Call of Duty has slowly been going down in sales until Black Ops 3.

With the remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the company does seem to be getting even more backlash, is this just the fans hopping on with the current trend? Maybe, Infinite Warfare might be a lot better than we all think, setting perhaps another new trend?

How will Battlefield 1 stand off? So far, it seems like there has been plenty of positive reactions, especially since DICE officially announced plenty of information such as it being held in World War 1.

Is it indeed #RIPCod? Is Battlefield 1 going to steal the spotlight and reign as the more popular shooter this year. Are the old era shooters coming back to set a trend, or is Infinite Warfare going a bit too futuristic? What do you think? Not going to bother with Call of Duty, going to buy Battlefield 1? It just looks like disliking Call of Duty is in fashion. I'm pretty sure not all of the dislikes come from real CoD players. IW will be sold a million times easily like the other parts before.

CoD choose the bad way, they added more and more owerpowered **** into the game. I played the new CoD about 10 minutes and i've died like 20 times for no reason? Something was flying around and killed me like i'm a ******* chicken. And no, it wasn't a helicopter or something like that. I just loled so hard.

Of course it is, graphics in the trailer is such a low quality and the game itself seems like cheap garbage.

Even rank 2 of the most disliked videos now. I mean the hype is there also still a bigger one than on Battlefield but as soon as the game is released for 2 months everyone is gonna be just bored of it tho.

I remember when COD4 MW came out and that was the game to play. I played it on ps3 day/night. And when the extra map packs came out it was legit fun *** game but after that its just same **** and its to much silliness in the gama. Great Fun but the its same thing every year. ATM im leaning on getting BattleField 1 for PC(not ps4 since it looks 2x better on my pc).I also recently sold my BO3 when i heard this part was coming out gotta make a quick buck before they are worth $10.
