Girl Met WoW Buddy -> Murder
November 29th 2009, Erika Eriksson, 27-year-old WoW player, was found strangled in her bedroom apartment after her birthday party of last Saturday.
According to the Swedish news, Erika is celebrating her birthday with friends from the World of Warcraft. Now the police suspect that she met her killer through this popular MMORPG.
World of Warcraft gamer Erika Eriksson was found murdered.
Erika's online buddy, a 33-year-old man aws arrested at his department on Sunday morning. The man comes from a town in northern Sweden where he lives with his partner.He is not known to police earlier, and his mother can not understand why her son is suspected of murder: "I understand nothing.He was never violent, " said the mother, "He has a girlfriend who he lived with long, but I can not say where or what he did in Stockholm."
Erika's brother, Jonas Eriksson, 30, is equally shocked: "I can not imagine that someone wanted to hurt my sister, "he says.
On Saturday afternoon, Jonas got a text message from Erika. He had congratulated her birthday and she replied: "Thank you, health as much for mom.
Now life has shattered the family in Arvika. Jonas shows the message that he has left in his phone. A yellow smiley concludes the text.

thats the perfect example that you cant have "friends" on the interent.only some kind of "buddy" nothing more.

Nah thats not true, i bet that girl didn't actually talk to her WoW 'friends' outside WoW, so she never truly discovered what they are really like, I have met someone from the internet, now we catch up regularly, it is possible to have friends from the internet and not be killed.
