The third part of Blizzard's hack and slay series has entered the next stage. Having announced this already some months ago, now an official date has been set for the release of Diablo 3. Of course, I am not talking about the PC version, as it was released a long time ago. This announcement is about an edition for consoles, the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, which is going to be released.
Mentioned official date is going to be September 3. Blizzard is sure, that many new people are looking forward to their coming edition for consoles. Thus, they would like to wake the desire to play - most notably due to new controls: "The console version has been custom-tailored [...] with updates to the game's thrilling boss battles, an all-new user interface featuring an intuitive control system, and a dynamic camera perspective that will make vanquishing evil feel like second nature [...]."
Moreover, it will be possible to fight in battles together with friends. In multi player mode, one will have a chance to leap into battle with up to 3 more gamers. You are free to choose between offline, local or online mode.
Blizzard's staff has already fallen into euphoria. CEO Mike Morhaime has stated: "Playing Diablo 3 on a big screen with your friends brings a whole new level of intensity to the game, and with all of the control and interface adaptations we've made, it's extremely fun to play on PS3 and Xbox 360."
