First look at Apple's new iPhone 5

Every discussion, rumour and speculation was brought to an end, when Apple presented their new iPhone 5, which will be introduced to you within this article. But who had the priviledge of giving the first glance at the new mobile? Again, it was Philip Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple. The moment he entered the stage, a white "iPhone 5"-caption became visible.

With a thickness of just 7.6 mm (0.3 inches) and a weight of 112 gramm (0.25 lbs), it is 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S. As assumed, the Retina-Display got enhanced and is now four inches large, providing a resolution of 1136x640 px. This time, the iPhone uses LTE - a change that is going to please the competition. Also built in is an A6 processor that is twice as fast as its predecessor, providing a 28 megapixels panoramic photo function able to record videos in 1080p. The front camera still records in 720p. There will be 3 microphones, situated at the bottom, the front and the back side.



Available for pre-order since Friday, the official release will be on September 21. Depending on memory size, the iPhone is going to cost either 199 Dollar (16 GB), 299 Dollar (32 GB Storage), or 399 Dollar (64 GB). All three models are sold only with a two years contract.

+ Apple sells things extremely overpriced.
I don't get it why people prefer buying Apple products unless they're rich and want to show it off to anyone. Why buying a smartphone which prohibits doing anything like developing apps without having a developer license - or which prohibits using 3rd-party apps which aren't available in the App-Store - AND forces you to use Apple's software? You'd need a jailbreak for these things.
So, you pay more than you would for any other, technically equal or even better smartphone, for something that might be looking great and might have a nice performance but prohibits anything Apple doesn't like? No, just no. Also I remember them saying the iPhone 5 will let any other smartphones behind it - I don't see that.

Apple products are usually just bought to show off. Besides being a reliable status symbol, they're mostly good for nothing.

I prefer my Droid 4 over Apple products any day >.>
Although I have an ipod touch purely for Infinity Blade..I would never buy anything else from Apple.
The Android platform is so much better than IOS...just seems most people don't realize that lol.
With an apple phone if it has issues you can't fix it without sending it to apple.
With an Android phone/tablet if the bugs are software related you can easily fix it.
Plus you can adjust the cpu speed as well.
Android is open source which is a huge plus over apples ****.
With apple it's "you buy our stuff and that's it" plus "Only WE can approve what you put on YOUR device"
That's kinda ****** up to do to people -.- I mean they are overpriced as it is shouldn't we be able to do what we want with them?
I could go on about this for hours xD but I don't want to make a massive post.
Just feel like Apple needs to die off >.> the iphone 5 is the same as the iphone 4 just "33%" bigger and a better display...ooooooo amazing! xD

from my opinion S3 kills Iphone 4s with 1 finger and i don't wait Iphone 5 to make an new comparison , today i saw S3 live on a friend of me and it's simply very cool i have Android from like an year ago and im in love with this OS
From my opinion Apple is overpriced and everybody who buys it does it because they want to show to people "Wow i bought Iphone and im the best" this is not true ... Samsung simply kicks apple ***
