The Wii U is designed to change how games are played, how you interact with gaming friends, and how you enjoy your TV. Support for Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Amazon Video and much more is due to come over the next year or so.

The Wii U will feature asymmetric gameplay, meaning you will be able to play one game in multiple ways at the same time. It has also been announced that the Wii U will, in fact, support up to two GamePads at the same time.
More was said on the Wii U's Miiverse, again showing us the Mii Wara Wara as the first thing you see upon booting the Wii U. The Mii Wara Wara will contain tiled billboard-like images of games to suit your taste, and games that are currently trending. Miis will flock to the scene and gather around these billboards, with emotion and speechbubbles showing how the represented player feels about this given game. This all works through the Miiverse and is connected to every game available on the Wii U. Eventually, support for Miiverse interaction will spread to the 3DS, PC and web-enabled mobile devices.

The Wii U is set to deliver a unique experience in video games, connecting players in the same room and across the globe. At least that's what Nintendo are planning. You can follow more of Nintendo's information flow here throughout E3.
