The game itself is a spiritual successor to Heavy Rain, with a lot of the same (perfected) mechanics, like very deep and cinematic gameplay that will leave you wanting for more.
You play as a young woman named Jodie Holmes, who possesses supernatural abilities. These abilities originate from a psychic link to an invisible entity (named Ivan as the trailer reveals). You get to play through various moments of her life, making decisions that will influence the plot and ultimately the outcome. As she runs from the authorities, Jodie travels around the world, constantly forced to act and go through emotionally charged moments and events on a scale that has never been seen in any other game before. This game looks like a real heavy hitter, and will really leave an impact on the gaming world.
Jodie Holmes is played by Ellen Page, a wonderful performance indeed.
