It would be a dream of course, it would be a nice change of pace after Los Santos, Liberty City, then Los Santos again, yet finally returning to Vice City. Into an HD and ray-tracing optimized Vice City. And there were heaps of leaks and rumors about it. They can probably all be traced back to the big "Project America" leak, which was posted in 2019 by an unknown Reddit user. As then and now, leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt, even if certain sites like to frame their article titles as if they were "established" facts..
But the leak seemed at the same time very interesting and not necessarily absolutely unserious. Simulated hurricanes of category 4 to 5, four big cities, a timeline over decades ... Sounds all very nice. But in the end rather too nice. Already Jason Schreier, the games journalist and insider warned to be careful about the Vice City rumors. Another expert followed this opinion. Tom Henderson, who is otherwise rather specialized in Battlefield and Call of Duty, speaks out clearly against the leaks, which circulate otherwise so. According to him, at least 80 percent of the leaks would be absolute nonsense. Why only 80 percent, or which part he means, he didn't go into further detail.
Does he have more recent information? How exactly does he come up with that view? Or did he just want to comment on the topic? In January, this expert already claimed that GTA 6 would include a female character to play, in addition to a male one. But he didn't give an answer back then either. By the way, his old Twitter account has been blocked. Why is it even newsworthy that some insider sends out a relatively irrelevant tweet about leaks and posts statements that anyone can post. And sound believable, because most leaks anyway, unless they are Ubisoft leaks, are completely far-fetched. And now I did it too and wrote an article about it. Damn.
No matter what is definitely established ... GTA 6 is coming. The question we should ask ourselves until then is whether we'll even be alive then. And I'm definitely too tired and don't have enough time for high quality articles.
