Introduction:
We finally got to experience the final version of the first-person zombie survival game Dead Island 2 from Deep Silver and developer Dumbster Studios. The game originally started development in 2012, more than 10 years ago, before the development team Yager stepped down from the project, to take over Sumo Digital, and then the project moved into the corridors of Deep Silver, specifically to the development team Dumbster Studios. Our previous experience with the game was very good and we are happy to assure you that the final version does not disappoint. This is one of the few games that got out of development hell, alive!

Development:
The development team kept part of the original vision of the project. The events of the first-person survival game take place in Los Angeles (or Hell-A, as the game calls it in its dark comic sense) from which you are trying to escape after the zombie apocalypse that befell it, and the game world is still colorful Quite beautiful in stark contrast to the horrificness of the zombie combat and the scattering of corpses, compared to the pallor with which a game like Dying Light 2 appears for comparison. The game initially allows you to choose one of six playable characters (slayers), and these characters differ among themselves in terms of initial abilities (stats). We chose to play Amy because of her flexibility and speed, and we continued to play with her in the final version.

As mentioned above, the appearance of the game is very beautiful on the PC and we were able to try it with the highest settings, the game is very polished and there were no technical problems at all unlike a lot of games released recently on the platform, the game loads the shaders before the start of the game and thus it is devoid of Stuttering or freezing while playing games and having a completely smooth performance, who would have expected Dead Island 2 to be one of the most stable games in this aspect of this year's games? The game also supports HDR as is the case with most modern games.

Review

The game areas are really beautiful, it is Hollywood full of luxurious American homes with wooden lands, large spaces, statues, decorations, manifestations of obscene wealth, parties, barbecues and swimming pools, there is a great effort made in designing these places. The game is not an open world genre and offers a smaller, neat design with multiple entrances and exits to places, clues to find, great secrets for fans of exploration and also side missions that help you upgrade your abilities to face the zombie hordes. The map design in the game I liked a lot and it is drawn in a great way. Gamers who have always demanded smaller games with greater mastery of design rather than open worlds will love what Dead Island 2 has to offer.


Information of the game:

The game is an action RPG, and the damage you inflict on enemies appears on the screen by numbers of health points. There is a very large variety of weapons that can be used to eliminate enemies, and they range from deadly firearms, close and long-range, and very diverse melee weapons. Upgrading these weapons through workshops, the game opens huge doors to creativity in upgrading these weapons, especially with the possibility of adding elements to them such as electricity, fire, knives, or even explosive elements through modifications (mods) and (perks) for each weapon, which you will need when Confronting hordes of zombie enemies, especially those who are very strong and have special abilities that are different from the rest.

Also, the player can take advantage of the environment in the game to his advantage in many ways, such as pouring fuel and burning zombies, or throwing batteries on pools of water and causing electric shock to a large number of these savage creatures. Weapons break down quickly, and you can disassemble them and take advantage of their resources or repair them in the workshops scattered throughout the game world. It is worth noting that only distinctive and rare weapons can be developed and modified. Finally, players can purchase resources from merchants.

The game also allows upgrading the player's character through cards, some of which are unlocked during the main story and others come through exploration, these cards customize the character's abilities according to the way you play and no two characters will be 100% identical between players, one of the abilities for example causes a wave Bouncing back when you use the cure to keep the zombies away and give you a chance to breathe. The idea of the cards is a distinctive idea that includes a kind of originality and innovation, and we saw that it is an advantage of the game. Comparisons will inevitably fall with the game Dying Light 2, and we see that Dead Island 2 is both fun in terms of capabilities and diversity of play, but Dying Light 2 is very late before it offers the most capabilities. Fun for the player While in Dead Island things go faster and interesting choices appear from the start.

The game comes with a unique system of graphics and representation of zombie bodies, and it boasts the best system in this regard compared to any other game. The system does not only provide the possibility of getting rid of the limbs of zombies, but also details that go beyond that, such as smashing bones, internal organs of zombies, and even removing the pupil from its place. Yes, this game is definitely not for the faint of heart, and there are huge efforts made in it here, and even the models of zombie characters are very diverse and too many to avoid repetition.

Conclusion:

In the end, despite all the positives, Dead Island 2 does not really bring anything new to this type of game, and we can say that the playing cycle becomes repetitive after a while as well, but it is an impeccable polished experience and whoever is looking for quick fun will find it in this game with all Confirmation, especially for those who decide to try it collectively with friends.
