RSRO Fps jumps

Well my fps keeps jumpin from around 180 fps to around 10 fps every 5 seconds and it causes major lag. Any thoughts? No internet lags though...

pc lag definetly.

as i can see u get 180 meaning you got a decnt PC.

i suggest that u should try a scan with some antivirus/spyware/malware program.

but first do a drive defrag.my drive is 1,6Tb and i need to give it a defrag once a month cuz it will drop my gaming fps's from 200 to like 30-60 @_@

also i suggest getting a second (SLI) video card as i do.it will get u a huge performance boost and make it more stable in such situations.

Drives are defragged and getting a second GTX 260 is a bit expensive for me as for malware spyware my Pc is scanned.. ;S I'll try reinstalling video drivers...

I'm actually having the same opinion/question as Kyuzo Satsuki.. Win7 might be better for normal work, but for games, it's not better.

Shattered Horizon
Metro 2033
Assassins Creed II

and the list continues.on XP on those games i got 100-120 fps's

Probably for new games, but silkroad is like.. 5 years old? It doesn't even support multicores. It should run fluently even on win 95 with that gfx card. And you also got sli, that's something different again.

uhm ... for the nubs that think silkroad is related to the graphic card. they ****** up. Silkroad takes 90% ram 10% graficcard ram.
and have you heard about windows 7 ultimate? win 7 actually made for gaming. but how ever =)

It isn't 'made for gaming'. They just edited the interface + kernel and some other **** so that it uses less RAM.

What I recommend is using , it's freeware and stops unnecessary processes and services. It cleaned 254MB RAM here.

I'm using Win7 x64 on an Intel i5 (not overclocked) with 4GB RAM and a GTS 250, never had problems running up to 4 clients (could be more, it's just the max I tried) on high setting (1600x1200).
