IMPORTANT for new players
First run the client, create char and login in game with Chinese media, if all are ok then loggout, rename original media.pk2 file and add our English media file.

I cant update from 1.131 to 1.133
I open silkroad.exe then the Start up window appears, but nothing happens no update at all... Someone can help ?

I had a few problems with this too,


1)) Install "SilkroadOnlineChinav1.127 Client" (The older version)
2)) Download the auto patch from cSRO site.
3)) Run the client and let it update to 1.133 (sometimes the auto-update won't work first time, so close it and reopen it till it updates)
4)) Drag the English Media.PK2 into the Silkroad directory.
5)) Enjoy!

download speed is here in germany not very well.. can anybody upload it at uploaded.to or rapidshare.com? would be nice, because 17kb/s are not the fastest with 6MB broadband^^

I guess I have to wait a little time for media pk2 patch for v1.135 or is there some other way to use v.133? Also the downloading and winrar v 1.133 seems to make the file corrupt? Any suggestions?

Copy-Paste this Patch file in ur SRO Folder, to run this patch SRO folder must have name Silkroad, if you have it like cSRO or ChineseSRO this patch cant see it, so maybe will not work.
When u run this patch will apear one window with Chinese letters, press left button and leave it to update.

When update is Done Download Media file

It is better to dont delete old Chinese media file, rename it and add this newest media file

Old players they have to patch old client which they have and change media file

Vista Users have to download the follow file to works SRO




Many ppl have same problem but they dont think logic

Steps for new players:
1. Download Client 1.127
2. Dont leave it to update, patch it
3. Now your Client is V. 1.131, leave it to update on v. 1.133 with Chinese media file
4. When update is done u have client v. 1.133, now try to login in game with Chinese media.
5. If u loged in without any problem, then logout and change media in to English.

(It is better to rename it old Chinese media file and keep it in ur cSRO folder)

Steps for old players:
1. Patch your client from any version to 1.131
2. Leave it to update on v. 1.133
3. Login in game with Chinese media file
4. If all are ok then Change media file in to English

BTW my SRO is V 1.31 BUt it wont auto update so.. please help:P
