Can confirm, also had been having this issue, which was not present in the 5.3 version. The bot has been VERY inconsistent this version. I hope the author can figure out what's wrong or maybe add a backup check maybe 100ms after the initial hook attempt.

Also, Windows Defender and much of the VirusTotal analysis is reporting this as a trojan now, which was also not present in 5.3 release.

I can confirm bot is currently working in Diadem in patch 5.41. Enjoy.

Windows Defender and other Virus Tool regoinze as a virus. The older version FFXIV Fishing Bot does not have to newer fish or weather pattern in the database.

To follow up on 3DWaffle1, file is detected by windows and chrome security.
Can't remember if the file had different report so download at your discretion.

EDIT: Confirming it, the bot is not safe to download anymore, managed to dig an older version and this is the report to compare

If you use patience, the program still chooses normal hook instead of precision or powerful.

When you have enabled patience I or II, it executes the normal "Hook", instead of "Powerful Hookset" or "Precision Hookset". Even with enough GP. Why?

I figured out why mine only executes normal "Hook" instead of the "Powerful/Precision Hooksets" when Patience II is enabled. Turns out I have disabled (unchecked) all Battles logs so the fishing text wasn't showing in the Battle logs properly.

Everything is working now for me. Maybe check your Battle Chat log settings and make sure the Fishing logs are enabled.

I tried what hamano14 says, but even activating all log options in general, battle and announcement and even restarting both the game and the program, it didn't worked
The program continues using normal hook always, with or without patience I / II

I have one desktop PC and one laptop. Up until last month, Aquabot was working fine on both computers.
However, since the beginning of this month, the "Powerful/Precision Hooksets" have stopped working on the laptop.

I thought it might be due to Windows Update on the laptop, so I rolled back to last month's state, but to no avail.

One thing I have noticed.
If it is working properly, the EXP is displayed.




If there is a problem with Hooksets, the EXP is not displayed.




I think that the "Powerful/Precision Hooksets" are not working because Aquabot is not getting some status.

I think that the fact that only one of the computers stopped working while using the same Aquabot is due to the software or settings on the PC,
but I don't know the specifics.

When I try to download, it says that a virus has been detected and cancels the download. Anyone else experience this? Anyone have an older version they can share?

I had thought that the reason why Aquabot was not working properly was due to the software and settings on my computer.
However, upon further investigation, I found out that something in FF14 was causing the problem.

Since Aquabot works fine on Character A, I created Character B on the same account.
I raised the Marauder's level to 15 and changed his job to Fisher.
Next, I raised Fisher's level to 15 and learned Patience I.
I checked the "Use Patience I" box on the Aquabot, but the "Powerful/Precision Hook Set" was not used.

I tried the same thing on my laptop, but the result was the same.

I mentioned before that Aquabot does not work properly on my laptop.
However, that was because I was only running Character X (another account character that Hooksets does not work with) on my laptop.
I tried running Character X on my desktop PC, but Hooksets still did not work.

I have FF XIV System Config and Character Config set to the same for all characters.

I think the only difference between each character is the job level and the type of quests they have completed.

Yeah, the new version gets registered as a virus for me too. Looks clean in a VM as I can't find any suspicious , but still has the same issue with using the hook sets. :/

Any reason mine uses ALL GP casting patience over and over if i check the Use patience I/II option?
