how does no Peek abilities work?

And yeah, try to keep it streamlined! I know with all the features people are going to want thats hard to do, but I like how easy and fast things are. If it comes to that point as I know was mentioned somewhere it might be pertinent (would make me happy) to have a breakaway simplistic one and then one for more complicated crafts and rapid production. Maybe a rank up bot, then a seperate mat maker and HQ type. This of course only if implementing new stuff would bog the system down.

One thing I meant to ask for earlier was an "emergency stop" that took the program back to square one if you pressed it. I have to close out of the program and restart sometimes, because pause and stop both wait until you are done with the current synth.
The pause/resume option could be further developed to the point where you can choose to stop during whatever action maybe? It would make pausing the bot to type in a message easier, then resuming where it left off, assuming you didnt touch anything else.

I know that leaves a lot of open ended questions on your side, but if it fits into the agenda i'd be a happy panda.

  • Hasty Hand behavior to move to advanced "no-peek" method
  • Fixed bug with abilities/Preserve occasionally not working

  • Probably other stuff I forgot about!

Why is emergency stop necessary? You change your mind in the 10 seconds between starting the bot and the synth beginning?

I'm sure it could be done, but don't know much about event-driven development, I would have to kill the worker thread... it would be a little bit involved. Is there some way of avoiding the situation where you need it?

*** you're quick! I'll test this after the emergency maintenance.

It't not necesary, just a good perk if anything. it would just be an alternative to ending the program, then doing whatever,l like messaging, then starting up again. If you created an interactive chat window then i wouldnt need this

Wow, what a bot and I love how you update twice a day basically lol. Anyways was running the 1.3.2.1 Testing and wanted to give you some feedback on it. So far the bot is getting hung up on "Finished Product" Screen, it just won't press select.

looks like it isnt starting the synth... looking into it

Edit: *cries* wasn't able to get it working before maintenance. It is getting the right window handle but something isn't being updated, seems like a minor issue, I probably failed to migrate an assignment or something equally stupid.

Not the right kind of boo i was looking for but alas.

Always on top works right ^_^ there's progress.
I was about to get both boxes running so I could test it, and then my laptop crashed.
I guess having 2 CAD files open, Premiere CS5 open and rendering a video, Chrome open with about 8 tabs and 2 instances of FFXIV was a tad too much >.>

Looking forward to testing. You hear it alot but thanks again for the great work you're putting into this.

BTW saw that you were trying to get access on ffevo earlier, but you don't have any files yet. You'll get more hits there too. So don't forget about em.

I talked with the admin and he said he doesn't like the login when you start the bot. He said he would approve it if I removed the login, and went on to offer the alternative of adding *THE SAME EXACT THING* but using THEIR database and server...

Quite honestly, I think he is worried about losing his subscriber base over Crazy Crafter going unmaintained. In one of the threads he says it would be back because "there was a massive influx of people that wanted it to stay around"; then the author posted old AND broken source code for someone else to fix >_<

It all seems like a lot of delaying to pacify their user base while they get their things together. Meanwhile, he didn't even provide me with the integration information for his system as I requested during our conversation. At one time, I was considering using his system, but am probably beyond that point now. It makes more sense to just make a great bot and then it doesn't matter where I release it... the bureaucracy and red tape take the fun out of the project for me.

All said, it doesn't seem like he's very interested in working with me... or at least not at my kind of pace.


Edit: The bot is updated, this one actually synths stuff!

Ill jump on it and start testing the dual box.

Well said about ffevo. I'm not sure about all the semantics, but it just seems dumb to want to incorporate something of theirs into your proprietary work. And yeah, with crazy crafter down for months and their own ffxiv crafter that has a 5$ membership has no support, they'd be dying to latch onto some working, constantly updated program like your own.

I'll be there to do what I can for your awesome project! Onto the testing!

I hope it works, because I used DI to get it done, so the only thing that really changes is the PID... *crosses fingers*

Edit: When you open two copies, does the second one crash after you login? >_<

I was getting an error every time i opened an instance of the program, but I figured out I needed FFXIV open first

EDIT:

Flawless Dual Boxing.. wow, look at that thing go. Like the new drop box UI as opposed to typing it in on your own. The program froze when I started the second box, but after I reopened it I realized this was because I didnt change the PID.. so Yeah. well done!

Can't test all the skills because I don't have them all but yeah, working great!!!!!!!!


EDIT:

When you say crash after logging in on the second copy do you mean FFXIV or on Kraftr?

Awesome!

It would require some kind of "refresh" mechanism for the PID list in order to support opening MK prior to the game, but I can't seem to grasp why it crashes with two copies on the same game, it doesn't actually do anything to the game until you click synthesize but it makes sure the game is open since it was originally developed as a single-instance program.

Instead, I would imagine it opening successfully both times, but only showing one PID in the list. I'll have to work on that.

Going to give 1.3.2.2 another couple hours before moving it stable, but so far so good.

Right it didnt crash for me unless I tried to start a second with the same PID. The PIDs dont show up unless you open them up after the game pops up after clicking PLAY

If 2 work... 9999 instances "could" work... though your computer might have a rough time, and the dropdown would be a nightmare XD

Yeah, the game login is ffxivboot; has nothing to do with the bot. After you log in, it launches ffxivgame (SE logo)
