Was this referring to the synth menu where you choose the recipe then hit main hand and ok to synth? Did this ever get corrected? During heavy lag I'm still getting a break in the cycle until I hit the button to continue the synth.

I got the memory info for one of the two last night, I just need to work on the error condition when it might lag so badly that it doesn't go into the recipes menu or the requested items menu. Those changes will be in 1.3.2.6

Good question. dellsharpie and pezzjunkie both report issues with abilities, but no one else has, even those who had problems in 1.3.2.4, they were fixed in 1.3.2.5.
Maybe I need to make 1.3.2.5 or 1.3.2.6 stable and require everyone to update.

If we could please have a few more people confirm or deny problems with abilities... it would help me know if I should move on or not. If you have problems with abilities, detailing the problem would be helpful. Things like:
  • Your version number (from top of login box, or the field on bottom of "Synthesis Status" tab)
  • Rough idea of system specs - processor core count & speed, amount of ram, graphics card model
  • Internet type - Do you have satellite Internet, or are you using a mobile card? What speed? (If it might be applicable to the problem)
  • Exactly what happened?
  • Was FFXIV the active window when it happened?
  • Did you minimize or maximize when the problem happened, possibly contributing to it?
  • Can you reproduce it?
  • If so, under what circumstances?
  • Does it always happen, or is it an intermittent problem?

Thus far, no other reports of this. Was it an anomoly, was it lag-related, was it user error, or is there really a bug? This *could* be related to the second of the two issues mentioned in Aethenoth's question RE: 2 actions.

It isn't clear if other abilities were used first and were still active (when counting 3 of 8), or if the program was disturbed while running... I also do not know why 1.3.2.5 wouldn't detect the abilities. None of the testers who've been using the program for weeks or months have reported any problems... but they are running out of crafts

I don't want to get ahead of myself and make a bunch of changes if some things already don't work, but more information is needed to really figure out if any of these problems are legitimate issues which should be addressed at the programming level.

I have noticed that my copy will bold at odd times, but never if progress is below 90%. I've tried recreating your scenario, but it still never bolds below 90% so I'm not exactly sure what's going on there. My helper's settings are default.

Yep, this will happen on easy synths and/or with HQ materials. If you change the bold number to 999 it should never happen.

Thanks for this confirmation, this is is the expected behavior since hasty hand is only available for the first attempt of each synthesis. Also, FWIW... synths seem to become less stable after preserve is used, so it will only trigger at 20% or later.

Thanks for this confirmation, this is is the expected behavior since hasty hand is only available for the first attempt of each synthesis. Also, FWIW... synths seem to become less stable after preserve is used, so it will only trigger at 20% or later.

I would really like to provide more constructive feedback but in all honesty the tool has functioned without incident for me. Thanks for your hard work on this.

After completing numerous synthesis as a carpenter, I switched to Weaver to clean out some junk inventory.

Here are the conditions that caused this error:

Fulfillment = Yes
Tender Touch = Yes
Preserve = Yes
Use wait = 3x
Bold if Durability > 100 = True
Recent Recipe = 6

Number of items to synthesize = BLANK
All box unchecked

Resulting error: "Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid."

Details of the JIT exception are listed below but my guess is since all variables in .NET must be defined prior to being used and the # of items box is blank without the ALL box checked that the program attempted to convert the undefined #_of_items variable to a integer, found the variable had an undefined value, and caused an unhandled exception.

Should be an easy fix to add a line of code to check if blank. First time I have ran into this issue, I must be tired to have not filled out the box!

Some good news to lucid. It's 99.9 percent safer to craft in an instance quest. No one can see you or even bother sending you a tell because they're too busy finishing their quest

Wow, you should upgrade. There are tons of newer features and bugfixes in later versions of 1.3.x.x

You might want to try 1.3.2.5, which is officially "testing", but seems stable:

Thanks for this, I will look into it later today. BTW, was the bot running, or did you have it paused? I have a feeling the empty number of items to synthesize was the problem.

They COULD monitor it, they certainly can see which zone/instance you're in... but so what? You can get 60FPS in an instance or 29FPS in the city; who could blame you?
