I'm using the build from OP to fool around with this, but i can'T get any of the GM commands to work at all? They seem disabled. How do i go about enabling them ? I was dealing without , just using EXP and item boosts, but i'm stuck in whitegate, at the port because the NPC wont let me exit to town, it just hangs after he says to enter.
@xworndownx , thanx for the great work! I hope you take things even further , even if the private servers never become exactly like the official one, I will at least always have that to remember the old days.. I did play on retail server for 5-6 years.. Just finding myself in east sarutabaruta again brings back good memories.
Edit: nvm i found out how to enable the gm commands.

Yea, tofu did the majority of the work on the mob abilities. Not all mobs are in the sql table but a good portion of them. The AH was mostly disabled since it crashed the server when it tried to load all the items for whatever category the player was viewing.

Thanks for your share. For some reason, even after I set my levelcap to 99, I don't seems to get xp after LV76.... Is there somewhere in sql or lua I need to modify??

Never looked into it and never tried anything beyond 75. It is what it was when we got the source.

It's disabled in the code as it isn't functional. You can stock the AH with a few SQL commands though even a player just browsing a fully stocked AH will crash the server at times. I won't be enabling it.

Hello,
First of, I love you all for taking this project on. After almost a year of "away-time", I come back to hear about this. It's just pure awesomeness.
I know making a new server and all is a ton of work, and rushing it is a very bad idea. With that said, don't get me wrong when I ask you this:
Will you still be using this thread for the new server - and be releasing binaries when you feel it's good for it?
Why I'm curious about this is, I don't wanna go google-hunting for potential information about a new project that I don't even know the name of.
It would be common sense that you, in some way, would be releasing it eventually - why else develop it if no one is going to take advantage of it - but you never know these days.
Been following ProjectXI for I don't even know how long, until they decided to shut it down. I'd love to play FFXI again, by my own rules - just like anyone else, I know.
Any kind of answer would be much appreciated.
Keep up the awesome work!

A new thread should be started. It is uncertain who will be mainly responsible for keeping it updated.

This has not been discussed as have a lot of other things. They are busy building the server instead of thinking about things that will be addressed far off in the future. One thing at a time ya know?

Dark Star, though the server moved and all past links come up as 404. Might be some old cache out there.
That sums it up. Don't want to post too much in this thread. Just causes confusion. I know people have questions and I'm just not at liberty to give out all or any of the answers at this time. Not my place. Everything will be addressed when the time is right. Sorry.

Deleted that program & all the source files back when I stopped working on the DLX server. A couple programs you can try: They never worked the way I wanted them to which led me to make my own. Which is easy if you just Google all the info.
See my previous post for the rest.

Download the svn, download visual studio express and add the proper code in the source to handle the new command.

Add rows to exp_table. There's , at least to lv90. You can make some reasonable assumptions for the rest of the way, until we know for sure. I only tested dinging lv76 and gaining a bit more xp after that. I haven't tested getting to lv77.
Also, "EXP tables were changed in the February 14, 2011 update".

Just popping in was moving mobs around found some of those missing mobs some are just in weird areas like tiamat , despot and other mobs. btw with AH if you dont want it to crash dont auto fill it let players fill it that way helps not crash it. been looking into mob magic. Might try adding mobs that are missing from data base isnt easy but ill try. P.S. Can i has cheeseburger?
