You don't, and yes, I just change a byte or two to see what it does. It's very time consuming and the reason that it is time consuming, people like you don't ever think of doing it without hearing of another person doing it that way. Not everything is black and white nor easy.
After figuring out which one did the affect the see through wall, then I browsed the memory region of the value and looked for another non-changing value in the vicinity of my target value that I could hopefully use in a search so I can get back to my target value whenever I wanted.
As I scrolled up, I noticed a 180 and counted how many lines up it was from my target value, and I hoped that it was ALWAYS the same amount of lines/spaces away from my target, otherwise if not I wouldn't be able to use it for my search..... after a few refreshes I noticed that it was indeed static and didn't fluctuate in position, then I copied the whole group of bytes from that 180 to my target value, pasted it into a text compare program. I did that a few times, meaning refresh, search, copy and paste.
Then I compared it to see what was different on the refreshes, as it happened to be, the only things that didn't change were the 180 and the target value, that's why it has so many ??'s between the 180 and the target value.
Got it now?
