Change of elitepvpers ownership

Heroic Studios is giving a great piece of internet culture into new hands. That's the punchline of this text. After 7 years of maintaining and taking care of it, the project will be given into capable hands today.

A step towards future, not an easy one though, after 7 years filled with good times, much fun and lots of good memories, will be made. The team leaders and the company Heroic Studios decided to pass on the project after a long search for an appropriate successor.

Well, who am I to announce such a message? My name is Luke and today I'll follow in the giant footsteps of my predecessor. Without doubt, this is a great honor to me and I honestly hope that this awesome community will welcome my humble self. I understand that it will take some time to get used to a new leader but still I'm sure we will have a wonderful time together.

We try to make this change as smooth as possible for you. Only one single name (mine) will be added in the admin ranks while Lowfyr will step back from his position. You'll get details from him soon.

Communication without censorship has always been an important aspect for Heroic Studios to deliver to its community. Due to sudden incidents, which you have been informed of already, this is no longer possible.

I garantuee you new features and freedom of speech. That is what the previous owner, as well as the current owner want and we will do anything to make it happen. This board depends on you, the users, after all and that's how it's supposed to be.

Of course I had to prove that I am worthy of this responsibility and that I am competent enough since elitepvpers demands a lot of responsibility and competence. I have several years of experience in the fields of Community-Management, maintaining servers and also online-gaming. Previously I have been working closely with the administrators in order to get used to the technical and other aspects of elitepvpers. I'm not bragging here, I just want to make sure that you know that this project is in good hands. All in all I'm very happy to take over this task and I assure you that I will take all required measures to make elitepvpers even bigger and more popular than it is now.

Finally I want to assure you that your user data is still being kept under the same safety regulations. If you still are unsure about that issue, you can still change it in the UserCP. We also keep giving you judicial support in case a crime is being commited for your disadvantage. You can still file complaints at the authorities and we'll help them as much as possible.

I don't want to stress your fatigue gamer eyes any further with more paragraphs, so I'll make a full stop here. I hope I can fulfill all the expectations on the part of the old owner, the staff and of course the community and I'm looking forward to the time we'll spend together.

Hello friends, colleagues and above all you gamers,

I'm sure you already got the information from my successor. My time for farewell has come, as the leader of this wonderful forum. Of course I didn't make this decision easily and naturally this step was a difficult one for me. But now, afterwards, I see all this with mixed feelings. Besides being sad about the fact that I am leaving, I am happy because I know that the new leader will not only have the project under control but he also will provide elitepvpers new options which were not accessible to me or rather Heroic Studios.

Now I want to explain to you the reasons and I want to drop some words of farewell. Lately the moments during which I had to consider passing on the project increased. On the one hand I saw myself as an enterpriser, which I am in a way, being short in time. Heroic Studios still oversees multiple projects and there is still more to come. So this is main reason number one. On the other hand there is this lawsuit you maybe heard of and so there also are costs. A lawsuit not only takes a lot of time but also a lot of money. In contrast to the wide-spread rumor that admins wallow in huge masses of money in Bill Gates-Style, the amount of money is limited. So here we have main reason number two.

I guess this is the right time to mention that the lawsuit will most likely result to our disadvantage regarding the hearing last month. Anyway, I don't want this decision (if it will happen as predicted) to stay like that. The chances are very high that Heroic Studios, on behalf of the "scene", freedom of speech and by that on behalf of you, will file an appeals procedure. You can catch up on news here on elitepvpers and maybe other news boards. Don't expect anything too soon though. Those procedures can take extremely long.

Finally I want to drop some last words as an administrator. I will not completely vanish from here. I'll stay as a member here. Mainly I want to express my gratitude. Above all towards you, the members of my little idea which has grown to be a huge adventure over the years. I always went through this adventure full of joy and only with you guys it was as funny as it actually became. That elitepvpers now is a part of internet culture could only happen because you guys did your best to help.

But enough of this emotional stuff. I want to thank my great team, my successor and thank you elitepvpers!
