Because that will give people less hope to buy then play free so people prefer waste money on other better game like Guilde wars or some other video games.

P.S: Blizzard makes like 2-3 billion's dollars profit a year ONLY from Wow so they already have enough they are leading Mmo.

P.S: i highly think its f2p because many epic games are coming free:
-Dragon Nest.
-Blade and Soul.
Many more and they are all epic free.
So if they make Diablo p2p i think just no one will play it.

Well..

The thing is that i agree with the part that it's gonna be free to play online.. but anyway YOU MUST BUY THE GAME!!

That's just how it works.. there are no decent games which are free to download..

Well they may do it f2p and make it free to download ,well thats my opinion and any way if they make it just Buy2Play people just can download the game by free at any warez website.

They would be out of their minds if they decided to make it free to download and f2p online.. i mean, they have worked FOR YEARS on it.. that would be just a ******* waste of time if they decided to make if free..

Don't forget that Battle.net was created as a monthly payment plattform for blizzard games. take a look at WoW, or Starcraft 2 in Russia ( they have to pay for online ) so it is confirmed that u don't have to pay for the first time after d3 released, but i'm sure we have to pay for the whole battle.net system in about 1 or 2 years a monthly fee, so for the games (with online multiplayer over battle.net .. sc2, d3 and so one) we also must p2p.

Yeah, let's see whats the future brings ..

The both games you named are MMORPGS!!!! NO SINGLE PLAYERS!!! THESE GAMES YOU WILL NEVER EVER FIND IN THE GAMING SHELF AT THE MALL!!

MMORPG and a single player game with an online option (like diablo 2 and sacred) is a different story..
