Why'd everyone Quit?

Hello ePvP Staff and members.


It's really amazing how Diablo 3, almost 2 years of release, died out so quickly because of several reasons; it remains an amazing game, and lots of people would return when the Auction House is removed.

But my main question is, what was your reason of quitting? Why did you quit? Is it because of updates? or people? Or any other things?

I started again with the new patch. In the past it was very annoying to play and grind hour and hour and receive nothing. And if you had found a legendary or a set item it was ****.
Now you gain fast levels and receive cool stuff all the time which is useful. It's still grinding but maybe this becomes better with the new adventure mode.

i quit after farming 250hours and dropping 5kk gold in items...
probably the reason for most people
D3 just took grinding to the next level with dropprates so low, you might never dropp anything at all.

I'm downloading diablo3 again right now and really looking forward to play it again activly.
i'll also preorder the expansion, hopefully i't s abetter game now

are there anywhere all patch notes listed since ~10-12months? playd last time when first version of paragon came out :3

Well, alot of people had left the game because of the poor itemdrops and the auction house.
I mean, if you look at Moldran or Kongor, they have around 1-3k hours playtime (before patch 2.0 and RoS were announced) and they almost didnt find anything useful.

I think, the most people has quit the game because the auktionhouse has closed!
Many people played because they make some money with the game!
Since the patch 2.0 is arrived and the gold is BoA,
people have no chance to sell the gold out!

You guys do realize that people quit because of the AH and not the other way arround?
removing the ah brings more players back then "players"(bots mostly) quit because of it...

Sowas Hab ich echt in meinen ganzen Leben noch ned gesehn!

Zum Auktions haus!!!
Wenn man diablo3 spielt dann weiss man, dass Blizzard
schon vor Monaten (min 6monate bevor das Ah zu machte)
die Meldung laut Gesetz in Die Eilmeldung zitieren musste!

Damals hab ich viele gekannt die Tage später nach der Eilmeldung aufgehört haben zu zocken!

Also, wenn mal wieder das Maul größer ist als der Verstand...
dann wenigstens später etwas darüber nachdenken...!

flamer gibts hier schon zu genüge!!

Yes, thats right many "players" are bots!
But many players belives there is no way to play without the auktionhouse!
And they players quit too!
It exists many reasons why the players quit!
Legendary bound of account seems a reason too, why they quit the game!
Many players asking hisself, why blizzard telling around they want
make a better trade from user to user and makes legendary bound!

Wtf is wrong with you.

AH is demotivating, because you cant be the best without buying Gold for real money.

Now you got the same chances to be the best like everyone, not only those who buy Gold for money. < With Reaper of Souls everyone will get new chances because all starts with 60lvl equip and everyone need new 70lvl equip.

I stopped caus of the AH... The complete game was dominated by botter and rewardless farming. Ah was completely filled by botter items, no good chance for own sales.
New patch, new rulz, new content - better game. Here we go! RoS inc tomorrow!

But now its not a Pay2Win game anymore, i was a rlly good monk at patch 1.0.7. and then someone new came to me and asked me which build is good atm (there it was the tempest Rush) and then he bought his Gear with like 700€ and he didnt do anything for it, i played lot of hours for my gear, and he is new and buy for 700€ and didnt even know how to play it.

I'm in the same boat as many others. I stopped playing because they had removed the thing that for me was the essence of the Diablo franchise: Loot!
One of the best times I had in D2 was killing Baal over and over and over again with my friends trying to get enigma.
In D3, with the AH, you raised your gold find the max you could and farmed gold until you could BO whatever item you desired. It had lost that feeling of "I'm going to kill this guy one more time and see what I get!"
The new patch they implemented and the new expansion basically made me come back. I want to explore, turn every rock and smash every demon head I find in the way because there is a chance for to get something good!

Adventure mode has also greatly improved the game a lot for me for the very same reason.
