Hi Dude's

I have search in google and have found a nice Tool to convert "BMP to DDS", that is not from me! Source Code for C++ is included.

I have test it, its work!

Note: I have not test it in virusTotal!

well u can download pirated or portable edition of photoshop. as for gimp i dont think they have it for linux(i mtie be wrong)

png to dds, only to change the file extension or not you can use.
I will not bother with the converter.^^
