The company that sells the "High Memory" option, they don't tell you that you can't order a Windows VPS. It's linux/unix
Thats why it's so **** cheap
Btw, don't be scared of cloud servers. They're not bad for small servers until you get off.
Just make sure you pick an option giving more ram.. cpu does not matter so much
unless your server is not efficient, then you should not buy a vps at all until you have one worth spending money on
Although I don't use this myself, I would recommend use of Softlayer's hosting.
They have excellent hosts, but they are a bit more expensive... But
They are not expensive without reason.. you get what you pay for with softlayer.
my current vps, is powerchaos. many promises of a certain amount of ram or cpu..
But the actuality of what I get is alot less... tons of downtime, with both my vps and webhost. it's really bad
so be wary of some companys.. read reviews, ect ect.
use google anyways, this forum isn't a great place to get a good suggestion of a hosting service.
