The reason for getting a dedicated server is because of the servers upload speed, it doesnt matter how efficient your server is, or how powerful your cpu is, or how much ram you have, if you have a slow upload speed the server will not be able to physically send the amount of data that you want to send to players, and will therefore begin queueing it on the socket, which will create a backlog, which creates latency for players, and eventually if your server does become popular, and you get lots of players you will max out the sockets buffer and at that point you will most likely receive an exception and the server will hang.
