creating source

iam new to coding and i was just wanting to know the basiks of coding a source from scratch. whats the first things to code? sockets? encryptions? packets? waht. pls reply.

Code sockets first. Sockets accept connections and data and thats what you wanna have first.

Nothing wrong with using someone else's sockets.
Personally I'd go with Hybrid's SocketNetwork.
