Server.dat issues. HELP PLEASE

I try to log into my server and get this message "Server.dat is broken or failed to open. Please re-install the game." I dont know why this is happening someone please help. When i tried to edit it to put my ip on the server.dat i use notepad and/or notepad++. Maybe im using the wrong program.

Don't edit server.dat. Leave it 100 percent default with no edits or you will get that message.


You only edit the coloader information so it hard codes what IP/port you'll be using. To do a full edited server.dat you would need to crack conquer.exe (waste of time imo)

Ok i tried to edit the CIDserver.dat and when i open CIDloader it gives me an error "Please run Play.exe"

follow any basic pserver guide. They all have full instructions

Yeah, you can get different loaders, server.dat is usually just a long *** encryption code, I recommend ignoring it when creating servers, And make sure you load by the loader provided in a lot of threads, but just refer to pro4nevers post

Allow your Play.exe in your Anti virus, (if you are using 5017)- coz Play.exe and Conquer.exe are Trojan Virus(correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm pretty sure you edit server.dat in a few 5165 sources also, Not completely sure here. But try getting Conquer Loader V5
