But seriously, I don't think queen knows whats shes talking about.
This is an old topic and any program will store values in memory (how else is it gonna remember anything), so this is also the case with booleans (2-state true/false vars)
This has nothing to do with any exploit though bone-you's posts give atleast a little bit insight in how such an exploit could work in reality.

The mystic merchant exploit was your character was never fully loaded (much like the "unlimited penitence tokens" on login) that allowed you to get the "prize" over and over again. VPs may have (or still do) operate in the same way though I'm sure if they did it'd be known by now. (worth a try if you know how to do it though) Still, the concept of Unknown Man was to check if you had a DB in your inventory and remove one if you do so if your itemlist server side was processed, you should lose the DB still, or if it wasn't processed due to stopping the login then you should get an error that you don't have a DB. While a system like that sounds solid, it is TQ and they have had quite a few easy leveling glitches. Anything is worth a try.
