This is the key to many peoples problems. You really need a top of the line computer to run this successfully.

Someone mentioned that you can't use your graphics card drivers, but actually that's what the the VM drivers due is emulate your graphics card. I'm still bored with Cabal and started a new guide but haven't finished it. Sorry.

Thanks Phatal, great guide. I was able to multi-client with VMware (I also experience the same crash errors as everyone but It doesn't happen all too often), however, the only problem now is running cabalrider on VMware. When I ran cabalrider(1.0.18) and accessed my characters, the control panel does not show up. I pressed the "End" key or "Shift+End" but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

guys, i was having this error while i was installing. MAYBE, the reason was, i was botting with my host, while i was installing. lolz. i figured maybe there might have been a memory sharing violation. so what i did was, i closed everything, even explorer, then reinstalled VM. which, after wards installed succesfuly.

tho my problem now is, im done installing cabal on VM, but when i run it, it doesnt do anything. i tried the updater, but it only gave the d3d9.dll file not found error. (not sure of the file name but something like that). i searched that file from the orig host folder, but there was no such file. any thoughts on this?

we alloted 8gigs as HD right? maybe that was wrong, maybe we needed to add more since after installing VMapps+OS+cabal, i was down to 130++ mb left on my HD and that doesnt sound very good. maybe 16gb as starting would be nice? thoughts?

my specs are low. really. BUT i managed to run 2 clients (well, sometimes it works sometimes not) using sanboxie. i just needed to turn off everything else to maximize processor.

rig:
amd 2.0 gig (forgot the exact name)
1.5g ram
512 vid card (which the seller said can run 2x speed-u know how i can do this?)
160 hd

low specs, but i made 2 clients ran. just not happy with it coz sometimes, the 2nd client takes forever to load from GG to login page and the taks manager always shows as 100% CPU usage (is this that bad?)

this is my 1st post btw heh. but been watching this forum for weeks now.i dont usually post, i try to read everything, then if all else fails, thats when i ask. hope same goes with everyone.

Hello phatal im having a problem here everytime I clicked the "startgame" at the launcher then sa gameguard pops up and then the cabal loading screen appears then suddenly it dissapears all of a sudden.

ps. uhmm my nvdia control panel under the 3d settings doesnt have the threaded optimization option ~_~
