Does anyone here know a good software where I can use to put passwords and locks on folders/flash drives?

Im not looking for an encryption program though.

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

The best solution in this case could be to encrypt you folder or your files.

Yes, not sure i know anything other then a encryption...

I use SafeHouse to store away everything i want private.

It's free and i suppose that's the best part about it :D

personally i use truecrypt with a singlefile container on my flashdrives, this does the job very well an fast, just putting a password, without encryption is not really possible, how should a PC know there is something like a password protection an the drive, if its connected for the first time?! :)

Thanks for the info sir, I also try that. But there was this memory card that I borrowed from my college professor that requires a password when you open or access it. She didn't tell me what kind of encryption program she used or how she did it... Strange..

SD cards got often used in Mobilephones, for ex. Nokia Phones are able to put passwords on the SD Card, this is nothing else then encryption, what kind of encryption depends on the model of the mobilesdevice, but those encryptions are weak...

ok.. that explains it... I'm not really looking for some strong encryption right now, just a little something that could, you know, keep other nosy people at bay from my files. I don't need a good encryption program yet 'cause the people around me are just ordinary folks. they don't know tech stuff. hahaha.

Thanks again for the tip sir.
