im looking for a way to creat a self extracting auto installer for my shaiya client like the one OS uses download 1 small fiel hit setup.exe and poof it installs all fiels to your computer in a sertent spot with a unenstal featcher also for it alonge with auto shortcuts on desktop.. i have downloaded a few programs that claim ta creat installers but i always get errors when i use them on the data saf and data sah fiels im not shure how to use them or what the erors are but if any1 knows how to creat the auto installer plzz help as i want one for my server ta add a more sofisticated featcher to the actyal server instead of just dl the rar or zip and extract boom its done.

Ariez's post brings up a good point. I would be less likely to trust an installer, since it could install some crap I wouldn't want it too.

I'm sure it can easily be broken down to see what it installs, but normal compressed rar and zip are more more trusted forms of delivery.

Best option is probably to use inno setup, it's very easy and you can edit your compilation script then make a fullly working installer.

I wouldnt use rar personally, an .exe always looks more pro.

its very good program for setup option :)

i would use winrar...as previously mentioned you dont know what ann installler could install...sure you choose the files to install but theres a risk of installing unwanted crap...with rar it will only extract the files you put in.

AWSOME advise works exactly as i wanted and alows the legial part to have my TOS so that inorder to start the install/extract you must agree to the TOS meaning you break tos not my fault you didnt read what ya agreed to so injoy ya lil vacation in jailtown tell you learn ta read what ya agree to lol but serious its exactly what i was looking for and so easy my 6 yearold can do it TY so much for all your advise and TY to others advise also tho i didnt use your methuds it was steal good advice and maby someone else will...
