Getting server online

Hey guys how do i make people download my private server? well first.. i have the dekaron difference files and everything i can go in my server i fixed everything to how ever i want it. how do i make it online? do i just add it as a winrar file.. and post it and make people download that? and when they do they jsut go dekaron.exe and opens? does it work like that? but if they change something in the files e.g monster edit or items... would it work for them or would it deny it because they are not the real owners of it?

First of all, in order for people to download your server you can either rar it and have them just unpack it, or for a more professional look make an installer. The program I use to make installers is Smart Install Maker. Having it just a .rar will work to, all they would have to do is unpack it.

As for client modding, they can't change important stuff. For example they can't edit a monster to drop 999,999,999 dil or give 999,999,999 exp. That stuff is server side so it won't work. However they can edit stuff like aggro and wall hack and stuff.

1 more thing, if i update mine how do i make them update it too??.. do i have to make a copy of the files i edit then upload it and they download it and then replace it with what they have?

Or if you could tell me how to make a actual launcher cos i dont i only have dekaron.exe and it just opens .. straight away.. how do i make a launcher and everytime i change the files it updates for all of them automatically?

You can either upload the files for your players and have them manually install, or you can use a launcher and host an update server, and when they run the launcher they auto-update.

Making a launcher can be hard if its your first time. The first question you need to ask is if your going to need a .pak launcher or a non-div/pak updater. Basically if your client is paked, you need a paked launcher, if not you need a div.

Do you think you could make me a small guide for me please? how to do it like host a update server with photos or 1 small video please it would be very ver very appretiated. thanks.

anyone knows how to fix the server zoom? because all characters can zoom out alot how they can see everything how do i fix it?

Go to your directory then go to "data/share/maplist.csv"

Open it in Excel or OpenOffice and look for the "DefaultZoom" column. That is what controls how much a character can zoom in and out in a map I believe. For Loa and Braiken its 12, the same for most other maps. Some maps are different though.

hey i just wanna ask i made the hamachi and all i can pay on my server right, but for others when they connect to hamachi it doesnt work.. for them it says server is not connected or something.. do i have to put any of the hamachi info in my server files or something ?? soo they can all connect?

you must enter hamachi IP to client side files to loginlist.csv, channellist.csv and etc.

show me a picture or something please be helpfull you guys are useless i mean with all do respect but your not doing nothing, thinking your helping but ur not.. for a new person this means nothing sooo basiclly your just talking among yourself..
