Client keeps trying to autopatch?

My 5065 client keeps trying to autopatch, even when there is nothing in the autopatch.dat?

What would cause this to happen? and can someone tell me a way to open conquer.exe without play.exe or autopatch.exe?

Make a shortcut to Conquer.exe and use blacknull.

alright, thanks. but, i somewhat got it working. now whenever i click bypass, it has an error that says abnormal process, conquer online is shutting down. yadda yadda

that error means it is something wrong while trying to run this client version with the current Runtime configuration....
maybe instaling an update one or re-instaling the one you have can solve the problem... try it ^^

I did, I tried completely deleting it and extracting it again. (Downloaded the 5063 client at the stickied post) and it still did it. I just installed another client, and it worked.

Change version.dat to read 9999.

Done.
