CO 2.0 model viewer

Did a search with no results, at the most i found a WoW model viewer...

My Needs:

I am working on a game atm and a lot of people think i should make it like CO so i want to use the models of CO as loose templates, but don't worry as i am not going to completely rip them off i just need them for reference purposes.

I need a model viewer+exporter so i can get the models into a 3D package for modifying/animating.

Since there are no CO model viewers to my knowledge i guess i am going to have to build my own. But i don't know much about encryption so if anyone can help me out on that front i would be well stoked.

My Offering:

I am going to build an application to view the models aswell as export them to .x format. I will offer this to ElitePvper members exclusively on completion.

So what you waiting for! HELP!

Ahhhh, cheers for updating me on the situation guys.

I am pretty good at programming but i lack the encryption skillz to decode the models.

Any encryption experts here fancy a challenge?

We need the CO 2.0 model format .C3 cracked.

I know people have done this for the packet stuff so there's no excuse why this format can't be decrypted, 'cept time constraints. So if anyone got a lil' spare time and know what they doing it would be appreciated a lot if u could shed some light on this. Even if it's just a point in the right direction i would be more than stoked.

Thanks for your time, peace out!

where is all the cryptology experts, hmmm?

they retired from co, real life is more important then worrying about a game.

i did some searching for a model viewer and i came across this one -----> [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

it did open the .C3 file but only in the ASCII coding structure. when i tried to turn it to 3d model my comp page file usage went unstable and my comp lagged up to hell and back. maybe youll have better luck with it.

lol what is the cpu you have on your computer. Also what graffic card do you have and how much ram do you have. LOL you can't 3d model on a shit computer.

Eg. file usage unstable

.c3 is a custom file type made by TQ i think, i doubt there would be anything that could open this file type as TQ seem to like to keep things locked away from the public. I guess i will just have to pray that someone get's fired from TQ and is angry about it, then releases the CO Server/Client/Dev tools source code.

This would be a glorious day indeed!

actually no, .C3 is not custom made by tq. its actually from windows 3.1 which is before windows 95, by what several of the searches ive done came up with. but what i do know is that it specializes with ASCII code only. seems to always knock me off track when im trying to do something since im not fluent in ASCII coding so i cant seem to proceed any further.

not going to completely rip them off?! why the hell not :P

before he edited his first posted he said his file usage went throw the roof when he tryed to covert the 3d modeling file. Just providing an answer to that problem.

I feel no need to flame u like u did to me.

Ok thanks for the update, i am taking wild guesses with most of my answers.

I can code a program to convert but really haven't a clue about decryption

With this .C3 format, would it be like the enigma machines from WW2?

E.G.

take the name LEE

L becomes %
E becomes ]

%]] = the encrypted form
Lee = the decrypted form

Is this how it would work or is this an outdated methodology?

You can still see that there is a structure to the ascii in the .C3 files, would this indicate that it would be a simple letter swapping routine similar to above?
