Edit .dds file but not transparent

Hi. Im newbie in dds files edit. I try to change all the avatar and all skill image into another image. This will make my eo client totally in new interface. but i got a little problem. I use Paint.Net to edit it.

what ur server name coz i need to join it

you need to use either photoshop or gimp and use the invert and then use the eraser option and it "should" turn white/grey checks if you do it correctly that is.

ok. i'll try using gimp. (im not expert in photoshop:D)
