Deceive the updates

Hi! I'm just a noob on s4 cause i don't love to play, but sometimes when i wanna, I have a little play

the thing is the following...
S4 updates its client with the version.ini file..
I've checked the version.ini file in the s4League path and it contains the addresses of .ini files where look if the current is the right version...

why don't upload theese files now on a different site (everywhere reachable) and change the paths in the version.ini file???

answer so soon, it may work!

He wants to change the .ini, I guess.

But it's useless, if you change something, hgwc notices it.

No, it won't. You can alter the patch file there, but to do this you fist have to own the files you want to alter etc. So chaning anything in the ini itself won't have any effect. You need to upload an own ini for that case. You can do this by using xampp and then creating a line in your "c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" file which referes from burda.cdnetworks.net to 127.0.0.1, your own system. Then you can use your own version.ini, but it won't help you anyway.

No. HGWC doen't check the version.ini, that's what the patcher does. And it does it by downloading a new version.ini.
