Snake King

Ok I know this is my first post and all but I've been reading these posts for years but never really had anything to contribute till now.

Now as for the Snake King. I've been doing this quest a lot lately and each time I'd get there the snake king would be there or it wouldn't. I've read a lot of post and people have different time for respawn. Some say 30 mins and others say 45 mins.

Well I went one day and killed king, then I'd return in 30 mins and the was no king. Time and time again I was missing the king, first I figured someone got there before me until I actually killed the king and sat there for 30 mins and no one came and the king didn't respawn, it actually took 45 mins to respawn.

So this is what I did. I set myself up to spend the day waiting and watching the king spawn (I know, no life... oh well). And this little experiment turned up some interesting results.

First I am on Gryphon server, but I'm not telling my alts, so the there may be a difference in other servers, I don't know. All times are the server times (the times at the top of the game).

I got to the spawn at 02:13 and killed the king. Right after it spawned again and I killed it again. The time was 02:15 then.

As I sat there waiting for the king to spawn I set up my little intensify auto-clicker and lvled intensify. I waited till 02:45, 30 mins later but the king didn't respawn. It finally spawned at 03:00. I killed him again and sat lvling my intensify and all of the sudden at 02:11 the king spawned again. Only 10 mins afterward.

So here's my list:

02:13 - arrived and killed 2 kings back to back only 2 mets.
03:00 - spawned and killed 1 met
03:11 - spawned and killed 1 met
03:42 - spawned and killed 1 met
04:02 - spawned and killed 1 met
04:48 - spawned and killed 1 met
05:10 - spawned and killed 1 met
05:52 - spawned and killed 1 met
06:36 - spawned and killed 6 mets (teleported to BI to deposit mets at market)
07:07 - spawned and killed 1 met
08:05 - spawned and killed 1 DB (almost an hour)
08:46 - spawned and killed 1 met
09:17 - spawned and killed 1 met
10:01 - spawned and killed 1 met
10:32 - spawned and killed 1 met
10:43 - spawned and killed 1 met (yea, roughly 10 mins)
11:14 - spawned and killed 6 mets (teleported to BI to deposit mets/DB at market)
11:35 - spawned and killed 1 met
11:51 - spawned and killed 6 mets
12:36 - spawned and killed 1 met
13:07 - spawned and killed 1 met
13:28 - spawned and killed 1 met
13:59 - spawned and killed 1 met
15:00 - spawned and killed 1 met
15:32 - spawned and killed 1 DB (I left after this, tired)

As you look at the times they are not every 30 mins, in fact the range from 10 mins to 1 hour. I'm posting this in hopes maybe someone else will give this a try and see if it's the same on other servers.

It was fun though, almost everyone I saw go through was an archer. There was one warrior but the water snakes killed him... to bad, and one tro. The tro, a RB lvl 124 sat and we B.S.ed a bit but he was still taking 5 damage from the water snakes so he rolled out.

At least I was able to finally fix intensify lol...

I normally go to SnakeKing when i don't have anything to do but i rarely camp there for such a long time. I go more or less every hour always think that the spawn times are between 45min and 1 hour never supsect that can spam so fast.

hmm. weird you didnt get any gems :S wasnt it boring to camp there all the time ? Anyways now i know i should wait a little longer there before leaving :D Good post

I have to agree with tjkraft, your are extremely lucky or just plain lying. I've been doing SK for a while now, even camping there (again no life I know) and I have yet to ever get a gem of any kind. Although I have gotten a few gems from the snake on the way to SK.

Nope no gems, never gotten a gem from him (I think a lot of those types of drops have been reduce to a ridiculous amount or removed now for ppl to buy more DB's. Think about the last time you seen someone get a DB from a squama, I squama hunt almost every night and haven't seen anyone get one a DB in almost 3 weeks). And no I didn't get bored really, I do a lot of PHP work on the side and I had my auto clicker maxing intensify. Plus every once in a while I got an archer who tried to pk me and that added a little excitment :P.

nice info on the snake king quest i think no one has contributed so well towards it, i dont bother with it people on my server always kill it b4 me :(

i got SDG from it... but it rarely drop

I have gotten 2 refined Fury Gems and 1 super Phonix gem maybe 1 or 2 Dbs but 99% of the time IF hes there i only get 1 met I've been doing this quest for a long time and I'm kind of sad to see it posted here cause it means more competion but still good info to share.

Sorry didn't mean make anyone sad I just wanted to try and figure it out a bit more. And I also have been doing SK for a while but have never gotten a gem, only DB's and tons of freak'n mets.

I'm gonna set myself up again for another camp to see what I get, maybe I'll get lucky and get a gem lol...:P

I have actually gotten 3 db via squama in the last 2 weeks and a night seldom goes by that someone ont he server doesn't get one. Has to be totally random I figure. It might be due to the fact that just about every squama is gone on our server by 10 minutes after they appear also, there are 4 people I know of that have basically made their own routes and split up the server.

i a got a super rain about 4 years ago...... and a pair of no soc ref boots... yayy me..

I have also got a pair of no soc ref boots.... and many mets.... but NEVER DB or GEM :(

This weekend I will try and camp there for DB... also to find if times are the same on Galaxy Server....
