Excessive Lag

OK, outside TG my ping is very stable usually around 120-380. But when I go into TG I get excessive ping, usually from like 700-2k and it eventually lags me out(Even lag out at level 20 stakes -_-), wtf can I do to solve this? I scanned my comp with multiple virus/spyware scanners thinking it was a virus or something, and I even reformatted. Still have this damn problem, so any suggestions?

I've had this problem for about 3-4 weeks now.

use cotobot is the best thing i think. the weap special effects is whats provably lagging you out. that will revove the special effect from your screen

I use Road Runner internet, from Time Warner.

And Vanhulk, I turn off my effects in TG with a batch.exe file. I still have excessive lag don't know why it never use to be like this until just recently.

go to another spot in tg where theres like 1 person. sometimes the server kicks you if theres no interaction of others around you.

I TG around lots of people, still lag out. Tried every spot in TG just about too, still lag out. Been playin this game forever with same net provider for 2 years and this shit just starts being stupid.

If that's the case, chill, log out, go out for a moment and return.

Probably after maint. So give it some time.

it is cuz tq are fucked up...
ive got the same prob... but i dont have any probs on other games...

And no. I've had this problem for like a month now. They keep implementing shit so fast their servers can't handle them and it causes extreme latency.

i dont have such problems....... lol even with a 512kb/s splitted by a router in half i dont lag in game and tg xD, i'm from romania


i'm at RDS (romanian data systems)

have u tried port forwarding with your router? Because sometimes its not server or connection but the router maybe u should access the router and forward tq's ports maybe thats why its happening

I'm not using a router, my comp is connected straight to a modem.

in comquer, i dont have such problems........ sadly i have on starcraft, the romananian starcraft server is connected with my ISP,i dont have connection problem,but when i make a game, i only can play with 2 players, if i play with 3+ players i lag like a bitch..... when didn't had the router was fine

You might be getting temporary packet loss

click start > run > cmd

then try some commands like

Ping (website)

or

Tracert (website)

Without the brackets and see if you are getting any data loss, you could also try pinging your conquer server IP, if you are getting packetloss ring your isp and ask them if theres problems on the network.
