Edit Monster names Client Side?

Hi, Im trying out Spanish Conquer and im turning the client sided stuff english but im having trouble with monster names could someone give me a hint or something what file controls the monster names. I have tried useing english conquer monster.dat but it didnt seem to be the solution.

hmm well i know you can do the npc because i changed all mines names. Ill have a dig around for you

Thanks appreciated.. i looked through some files i just thought the file name would be more obvious.

If you go to your Conquer2.0/ini folder, there is a file called 'Monster.dat'

I'm not 100 pct sure, but I think that file has something to do with the monsters ^^

Well thats what you would think, now im saying its obviously got something to do with monsters although its encrypted or w.e it still does not contain monster names.

It does contain monster names if you decrypt it. Give it a try.

Even you can edit monster.dat.

Monster name in game window will not change cause of they use name that sent from server to display instead name in monster.dat to prevent us detect some special monster such as real met dove, water db.

Look for DeEn
Easy Monster.Dat Encrypter and Decrypter by V2usah6969
Also the tool by coder62 that is made for itemtype.dat's will work too.
ItemType.dat and Monster.dat use the same encryption.

But I think anantasia might be right though, so it might not work.
