My Own Minimaps

My own minimaps.
Extract to "C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\data\minimaps"

Using the originals from data.wdf i overlaid images rather than colored dots for squama, exp pot monsters, water-tao spacemarks, and a few other things worth marking on certain maps.

While I am a big fan of [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], I wanted a map made from the original mini, so what you will find included is my artistic recreation of Prophecy's map with the data.wdf-original as a base.

I'm also a fan of [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], and used them as reference for squama locations, and particularly helpful mapping BI portals. He deserves all the credit with his great collection, I'm just putting my own twist on them.

Also included, an alternative 2nd RB quest map. Like the others we have seen, this one has the lords marked and the lost-souls numbered. It's a bit cartoony, but clear and ledgible.

New: Added minimaps for the extra Bird Island portal, the portal of portals. This is a new creation, pieced together from the previously inaccurate and incomplete originals. Mapped the portals, x marks the exit. While there are no monsters on this map, it's a lot of fun to explore if you know where you are going. ;)

Updated download link in first post; added completely new Bird Portals minimap. Unlike my artistic renditions, this one is an original, and you won't find it anywhere else :) To find this place, go south out of Bird Island city gates, go right until you find the edge of the map, and jump in.

Due to the inaccuracy of the game's display of this area, the minimap will appear shrunken, but at least it is more accurate than the ingame map. Just hit the zoom button to view an accurate scaling.

lol I still get confused in BI. :p The Bird city map though, that one I borrowed the portal mapping concept from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], just to clarify I'm not trying to claim credit for his previous work. The only map I'm claiming as my own, that you will find no where else ;), is that mysterious map linked off of Bird Island just outside the south gate.

Previously when I'd go to this second Bird map, the one with no monsters like an unfinished quest or something, by the time I got halfway through the map, my player icon would be in the water. As it turns out, the in-game minimap was completely inaccurate, a puzzle of sorts where they left out the middle :eek:

A lil cut and paste, rubber stamping, masking, blurring, layering, and overlain, and I think by George I got. :D The mini-map now looks best when zoomed, and you can get all the way across without your character icon landing in the water zones. Somehow I still can't believe the developers of the game never tested that map; never noticed it wasn't complete. :confused:

rewlin would it be possible to add the mom.rar to another link, like maybe rapidshare, cause i cant get the download off of zerowaitingtime, it keeps timing out :(. At least the last hour i been trying to download it...
