Changing Map Colors?

Hiya guys and or gals,
for some reason on my wife's computer the 2nd rb area is ungodly hard to see have tried adjusting monitor and everything to no avail.
how would i go about changing the color while keeping everything else the same
so instead of black ground how would i change it all to say Bi Green ^_^
i have photoshop cs3 if thats of any help.

*EDIT*
There was a post somewhere among Co forum section about changing desert map to Bi but i've been unable to find after a few hours hunting looking for any help please :S

C'mon i know this can be done someone did it with Desert map swap to Bi :(

Try looking for edited minimaps.

Since you have C3 then open *&#092;Conquer 2.0&#092;data&#092;minimap&#092;map1700.jpg and edit it to what ever colors you want.

Attached is a light colored one from>>>

The mini map i've changed. im trying to get someone or to figure out how to edit the actual map texture as in how it was done in the post above. the mini map i edit to hell and back =D Thanks guys just not sure how it was done i cant seem to figure how to edit the actual ground you walk on. even been to cofusion for help : /

If you have the data.wdf extracted look in the *&#092;map&#092;puzzle&#092;dcity folder.
The .dds files there look like there the ones used for RB2 quest map.
There's three folders in the dcity folder that open to more folders. Drill through them and you'll find the .dds files I'm talking about.
I tried CS2 and used image auto level adjust and auto color. It seemed to brighten them up allot. Looks like TQ dulled them down, to make them look darker.
If this works the side benefit would be brighter DisCity quest too.

Also look in the *&#092;map&#092;mapobj&#092;dcity folder those could be used too.
Like the piles of skulls.
