using SpiraXI on vista but character creation failed

for starters im on vista and used the final fantasy xi 2008 collections Disc i only installed playonline viewer and FFXI the game none of the expansions. Now for the main part, ok i followed readme said put the update file in c:\programs(86x)\playonline\squareenix/finalfantasy then i use the updatebat to crack to file and updated on playonline the prcoess took like 10 hours then i did the mysql and spiraxi server to load up an used meteor xi i run it in adminstrator mode and i get to the game i notice none of the expansions are there just the game so i make a new character , make a name for for it then the server is "fuck square" if i recall and then i get an error at the end of the character creation and i cant go past that ive checked jus about every post on this site for ff xi and youtube like im so baffled what am im missing am i doing something wrong? please assist me anyone im dying to play this game again :confused:

ok i made some type of improvement i believe so i installed the other 3 expansions from the 2008 vandiel collection and did the upate copy in program(86x) then used update.bat and went to playonline to update in check files then i noticed that it didnt say i need to update anymore after the mxi loaded and i have the crystal prof. add on but the others are missing and im still stuck on the character creation part anyone please i need help some post to get my foot in the right direction to solving my dilemma. :[

did u try port forwarding.. i had that problem when i first downloaded projectxi creating char an couldn't get past that spot...

how do i port foward excatlly?

that happened to me for a while too.
i just recompiled my database in SQLyog.

will let see i still doing step i got all my expation installed and i am useing window 7 so if i see error or not ill let you know

I still waiting for file to get fix so i can do rest of server once i fine out what kinda error we get on character for vista ill let ya know i running window 7 so i might not need ot use vista one

I run on windows 7 64 bit and when i tried to create a char i got an error 3322 message, any ideas what this could be?

3322 you didn't update your FFXI... you need to do a file check throw pol then send the data or db from the pol folder to the FFxi folder so u can enter the game better

I pay for FFXI i just wanted to try some things out so my ffxi is updated, which files do i need to move then.

C:\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\PlayOnlineViewer

the data folder is what you need to copy an paste to FFXi folder..

lol i haven't payed to play the game in 2 years
