i don't see a 'socket system' on the gameserver? i don't see the gameserver doing anything else but handling packets, theres more logic going on than just handling packets.

The link you provided is a helpful thread and it definitely adds to mine nicely,
but it's not a simple diagram. I made this diagram so people that don't want to
read 2000 lines of information can at least have a basic understanding of how
their server works.
