I'm interested in making of a WoW private server..

could someone please tell me HOW I make it or could someone tell me a site that will guide me into making one

ok.. now I got my server up and running but, there are still somethings that I cant figure how to repair/modify..

like. Dungeons = some bosses (boss) keep making the ''looting-lag'' that the char stays in kneeled but wont loot

- I would like to change the exp. count on my server, more from Q's, more from mobs. how do I do that?

- The Outlands aren't the way they would be.. there are still several elite mobs on the azeroth side of the portal and many demons on the outlands side.. no, there is no base camps at the stairs; not for H or A. Is this fault of the version? (2.0.8.6403)

oh yesh and I used Mangos in making this server

It's the fault of the Database.
You can fix the Database yourself by manually deleting ,spawning or batch a new one into your Mysql.

The Lootlag could be a Client oder a Core Problem.
Try Updating the Core with a newer Version.
Or try Updating the Client with Version 2.0.12.

Possible Solution to your Problem :

Update your WoW Client to 2.0.12
then download in this Thread by Tairon the Second Download link.

Batch the Mangos.sql and the realmd.sql into your Mysql.
Copy the downloaded Revisionfiles in your Server Folder.
Then Configure your Server like you did, with mangos.conf etc... ^^

Maybe this should work.

well ok.. some of the Q's still not working..
outlands is still fucked up ( only mobs I saw were at the stairs and they were 68 - 72 lvl elite demons )

I updated the client to 2.0.12 and still NOTHING..
you could help me in that database thing I am a real noob in these things..

how do I use that mangos what is on the link?? I dont see any exe's that the 3: server, realmd and server-start..

ok so I thought just starting them will do it.. I start them and they stay in screen for like 1 - 3 seconds and boof they disappear and no effect on the server what so ever.

altho I found the XP thing and dmg done by mobs and gm states etc they all were in Mangosd.CONF ...

so you see im really a big noob in these ''setting- up-things'' :P

more precice help would be glad.

Instructions:

1.) Download the 1 Click Installer and the Maps.
Unpack them.

2.) Copy the Maps into :
"Novos Embedded Mangos&#092;data&#092;maps"

3.)start "Novo's Easy Mangos Handler.exe"

4.)Configure there everything ... Local means just on your pc (DONT Try INTERNET,pls, if you do this im not gonna help you anymore...)

5.) Go to your WoW-Folder and open your realmlist.wtf with notepad.
Delete the Old Stuff and copy "set realmlist 127.0.0.1" into it.

Start the Server ...
