Someone posted that the names of items can be changed depending on the quality of the item. However unident items dont show this change. I'm thinking all of us who are able should look into a way around this. I have an idea, we can find out an items ID from the ItemType.dat file...we need to locate the array of items in your inventory and hack the ID's, probably a boolean somewhere to say its unidentified. Anyways if anyone has ideas lets all work together cause thsi would be super awesome

hmmm maybe it cant be done...i was looking at my inventory in memory, the ID for my unidentified items all show up as normals....

Yeah, thats the conclusion I got to.

The only thing i can think of is to somehow duplicate the window that you get when you want to identify stuff. It might not let you know what you pick up beforehand, but it would at least let you ident stuff without having to trek to market.
Not sure if that can be done though...

if everyones correct about stone upgrading by the sword glow, then it would be client sided to determine fi stones work or fail, as well as item is identified...but i wouldnt be sure where to look
